Privacy Policy

Effective May 7, 2026 · Halo Privacy, Inc.

Halo Privacy, Inc. ("Halo Privacy," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware corporation. We respect your privacy. We also recognize the irony of having to say so. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to haloprivacy.com and any other website where it is posted. It does not apply to data processed inside customer-deployed Eclipse environments, which are tailored, on-premises, and remain on the customer's own infrastructure under the customer's control by design. For those environments, consult your organization's separate data protection notice.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

If you contact us through the website, request information, or correspond with us by email, we receive whatever you choose to send. Typically that's your name, employer, email address, phone number (if you choose to share it), the sector you operate in, and the contents of your message.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure logs certain technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type and version, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this only for security, troubleshooting, and to keep the site running. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

1.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly necessary first-party cookies to remember your theme preference and that you have acknowledged our cookie banner. We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking. See our Cookie Policy for details.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide information you request.
  • To deliver, maintain, secure, and improve this website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
  • With your consent, to send you occasional information you have asked to receive.

3. Legal bases for processing (EU/UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the legal bases of (a) your consent, where applicable; (b) the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering into one; (c) compliance with legal obligations; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who host the website, deliver email on our behalf, or otherwise support our operations under written agreements that limit their use of the information.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when we are required by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Inquiries and correspondence are typically retained for the duration of the relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain records, defend claims, and meet our legal obligations.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; receive a portable copy of your information; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights under those laws, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@haloprivacy.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Children

This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is perfectly secure; we do not pretend otherwise.

10. Third-party links

The site may contain links to other websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for those sites' privacy practices. Read their notices before sharing information with them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, if the changes are material, take additional steps as required by law to inform you. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
