Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out conduct that is not permitted on haloprivacy.com or in connection with any services or content we make available. It supplements our Terms of Use; capitalized terms used here have the meaning given in those Terms.
1. Scope
This AUP applies to anyone who accesses or uses the Site or interacts with us through it, including by submitting forms, sending messages to info@haloprivacy.com, or otherwise communicating with us.
2. Prohibited conduct
You agree that you will not, and will not authorize anyone else to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or contract.
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any form or communication channel.
- Upload, transmit, or link to any content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages ("spam") of any kind.
- Distribute or attempt to distribute malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, or other malicious code.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or any related system, or attempt to breach security or authentication measures, except under a written authorization from us.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or its underlying infrastructure (for example, denial-of-service activity).
- Harvest, scrape, or otherwise collect information about other users, including email addresses or other personal data.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Site.
- Use the Site to develop a competing product or service or to benchmark performance for that purpose.
- Misuse our trademarks, branding, or content in a way likely to cause confusion or imply endorsement.
3. Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is using the Site in violation of this AUP, please tell us. Email info@haloprivacy.com with as much detail as you can share.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including warning the offender, restricting or terminating access, removing offending content, and cooperating with law enforcement. We may also pursue legal remedies. Failure to enforce this AUP in a particular case is not a waiver of our right to enforce it in another.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL with its effective date.
